Join Our Team!
Austin's most trusted W-2 pet care team is growing. We're looking for professionals not gig workers.
This Lil Dog of Mine has been serving Austin pet families for over 10 years. We're a real team of W-2 employees not a gig app, not a platform. We have real clients who count on us, real standards we hold ourselves to, and a real team that shows up every day. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. If you're looking for Rover- or Wag-style gig flexibility, this isn't the right fit and that's okay.
🐈 Pet & House Sitter
You'll complete drop-in visits and overnight stays for assigned clients. You are responsible for their pets and their home — this is a trust-heavy, detail-oriented role.
✓ W-2 hourly pay + travel stipend
✓ Drop-in visits and overnight stays
✓ Consistent clients who count on you
This is NOT Rover. You will have assigned clients, tasks, and professional standards.
🐕 Dog Walker
You'll walk assigned dogs on a consistent schedule across Austin neighborhoods. This is an active, outdoor job — expect 3–6+ miles per shift in real Texas weather.
✓ W-2 hourly pay + travel stipend
✓ Consistent assigned clients
✓ Structured onboarding + peer training
This is NOT a gig. You will have a set schedule and accountability expectations.
Before You Apply, Here's the Real Picture
✓ This is W-2 employment. You'll receive a consistent paycheck, not gig payments.
✓ You'll use our scheduling app (Time To Pet) for every visit. Tech comfort is required.
✓ You'll have assigned clients and a set schedule. Availability is not pick-up-and-drop.
✓ Dog walking is physically demanding. Heat, rain, long distances — this is outdoor work.
✓ Pet sitting means real responsibility — someone's home and animals are in your care.
✗ This is not Rover or Wag. You cannot choose jobs on demand.
✗ This is not casual animal time. You have tasks, a schedule, and accountability.
✗ This is not flexible gig work. Reliability is everything here.
What We Look For in Every Hire:
• Reliable — you show up on time, every time, or you communicate proactively
• Tech-comfortable — you can learn and consistently use a mobile scheduling app
• Animal-savvy — you understand animal behavior and can handle real situations calmly
• Professional — you treat our clients' homes and pets with the highest respect
• Physically capable — you can handle active outdoor work consistently
• Committed — you honor your scheduled shifts and minimum weekly commitments
